Report out for Dec. 4, 2021:

new repo is created for the code to run the new plone.org
we have a Plone in a Box™ spun up to mock up the navigational structure and experiment with the layout and Volto add-ons required
we are looking at the nav of websites of other similar CMS projects and will adjust/incorporate our own content
we intend to streamline and consolidate our content and make it easier for newcomers
Our resident migration guru is working his magic

Plone 6 demo site to play around and test site structure, content things etc.
Many discussions on content, like footer and site structure
Discussions on how to separate Plone from other CMS's, what are the most important features and benefits
Migration from current Plone.org to Plone 6
Created new GitHub - plone/plone.org: Plone.org setup
Volto stuff - new footer for plone.org, Volto issues discussed and created
Learning to use Plone 6 with Volto
Discussion on visuals, can use Pastanaga icons Pastanaga Icons
Some content improvements on current plone.org
Reasonable progress with updating the Plone Logo/Brand usage guidelines.
Implement new Makefile based development workflow for the backend.
Etc
