I'm Ahmed Elsayed, a Computer Engineering student and Software Engineer at CharCentric in Abu Dhabi, UAE, since September 2024. I work with AI engineers to integrate machine learning models and APIs into production, focusing on backend development with Python and RESTful APIs while collaborating with frontend teams to add AI-powered features to React applications.
I'm interested in improving keyword management for Volto by making it easier to organize and find related terms. AI could help by detecting similar keywords, suggesting merges based on meaning rather than just spelling, and offering better content organization.
I have noticed Plone's recent integration of the Gemini API for generating image descriptions, and I believe we can extend it to refine keyword similarity detection and provide more accurate recommendations. For example, AI could analyze content to see if terms like "global warming" and "climate change" are used interchangeably, helping editors make better decisions.
