What is the Table of Contents Volto block meant to do? (maybe buggy)

What does the Table of Contents block do? I would expect it to display a list of heading blocks on the page...

ok that's strange... I edited the page again and clicked in each of the heading blocks and as I did so I could see them appearing in the TOC block...

and yet this is the same order in which I added the blocks:

  1. TOC block
  2. heading block
  3. another heading block

It's not necessary to see live updates to the TOC block as much as it is to have it render correctly after saving

Here is the sequence of actions showing what I think is a bug...

I just realised we had this block. Its from VLT(volto-light-theme). I think this needs to be handled properly: volto-heading-block/src/index.js at c410f6cf63b763505d8de26fdd919feffefbb95f · kitconcept/volto-heading-block · GitHub

Thanks for reporting!

@tkimnguyen thank you for reporting! Did you create a ticket on the VLT or TOC block repo?

Not yet  I will!

I hope I created it in the right place...
