• Current status of Volto development
  • Volto 7.5.1 is out (9 releases in the 7.x branch so far)
  • Volto 7:
    • addons configuration loading added
    • minor breaking change
• We created a new Volto team on github (@plone/volto-team)

• Volto Marketing / Changelog (Rikupekka)
  • We have at least two major target groups: people with a Plone background and people with a React background
  • Marketing team creates Volto content on plone.org
  • We will start to put a high-level Volto changelog on VoltoCMS.com
• Communication channel
  • things are more complicated that we anticipated: the Plone Slack channel is not dead (Timo had a discussion with Kim about it on Slack)
  • Marketing team should discuss about this and try to help to find clarity
  • Topic for a board decision and/or for the strategic summit
  • Heads up from marketing/communications team: discussions on plone.org improvements (2020) and possible renewal (2021) - using Volto as a frontend?
    • Branding and presenting Volto in plone.org
• Create Volto App / Yeoman (Tiberiu)
  • Tiberiu created a PR
  • Enhance CLI
    • create add-on
    • you can provide command line arguments
  • RedTurtle used Yeoman for their own projects, experience was good so far
  • it would be good to have an official maintainer for create volto app / Yeoman generator who takes care of reviewing PRs and doing releases
