Redturtle has invested heavily in Volto accessibility, but the available budget is nearly exhausted.

Wagner is currently the main Redturtle contributor focused on accessibility. The broader effort relies on Wagner’s PR work, Wesley’s unpaid code reviews, and Steve’s documentation support.

Around 50 accessibility-related PRs were approved in Volto during the last six months.

A central concern is that other agencies benefit from Redturtle’s upstream work without contributing equivalent effort or funding.

Accessibility guidelines: review and use the Volto accessibility guidelines document.

Sovereign Tech Agency grant: assess an application to fund continued accessibility work.

Key Need: Sustain accessibility contributions, especially Volto front-end WCAG compliance and automated accessibility testing.
