The new plone.org
An effort started a year ago in Plone Conference 2021, and the idea was to build and run Plone.org on the new Plone 6. Thanks to the combined effort of the community, here we stand with the new site!
The main drivers behind the effort are:
- Showcasing Plone 6 in its glory.
- Using Plone 6 to push development forward.
- Using Plone 6 out-of-the-box - with little custom theming and add ons.
- Improving Plone.org content overall
- Making it easier for wider audience to get to know Plone

This site would not exist without the combined effort of the most awesome Plone community, requiring wide variety of different skills from programming, UX and visual design, copywriting, image editing and migration, and more. Thank you for for your relentless effort with Plone 6 and Plone.org!
Work continues
But to quote a famous wizard:
"The battle of Helm's Deep is over; the battle for Middle Earth is about to begin."
For us it means that while plone.org is now released, there is still work to be done.
