https://plone.org/download/releases/5.1 now includes a link to the "simple Plone buildout" method which is the recommended way to get Plone running on Windows until we have an updated Windows installer.
if you noticed there was recently a beginner who tried it under Win 10 and ran in some troubles. I never got an answer from him about the test I asked him to do to find why there was (apparently) a remaining pid file after restarting Windows without closing Plone started in 'fg' mode, but I don't have a Win 10 computer to try it myself (well I could install a free VM I know but I am not that dedicated to Plone). So if someone (you ?) has access to such a beast it could be interesting.
