I'm Kushal Bhana, and I've been following Plone for quite some time. I've completed the Plone development training, explored the documentation, studied the plone.app.workflowmanager codebase, and even built web applications using this knowledge.
I have a question regarding the GSOC idea for the Workflow Manager. The plone.app.workflowmanager is designed for Plone, but since this project focuses on Volto, is the goal to create a full-fledged workflow manager similar to what Zope has? Or does the scope also involve integrating a visual editor for workflows?
I also came across @iRohitSingh’s work from GSOC 2022, where he built a visual editor for Volto’s workflow manager, but it lacked implemented endpoints. Is the Plone team considering extending his work to make it fully functional with the workflow manager, or are you looking at a completely different approach?
