Teams:

  • Translation/Internationalization (Vincent)
    • Dexterity, p.a.caching, CMFDiffTool, plone.app.multilingual translations moved to p.a.locales
    • Include link to translations coverage Jenkins job in our soft release announcements
  • Documentation (Paul)
    • Up to date with Plone 5.1
    • Needs a sprint to do a real overhaul and re-think structure. Will probably happen in Berlin.
  • Training (Philip)
    • For Tokyo, we estimate same number of trainers & classes as in BCN
    • Trainer housing (Philip will work with Manabu on this)
    • React training? (Timo/Victor)
    • Discounted ticket for trainers?
  • Release (Eric)
    • Two 5.1.x builds in the pipeline. Installers for 5.1.1 are ready. Eric will get that pushed out this weekend. 5.1.2 is pending, some work to be done on that yet. Planning on a 4.3.x release first week of May, and will get a final 5.0.x release out shortly after.
  • Security (Alexander)
    • No news is good news
  • Continuous Integration (Timo)
    • Not much to report, Jenkins is up and running. We keep it up to date and running. Stop breaking the build.
  • Installers (Kim)
    • New Plone distributions info on plone.org/download (Bika, Quaive, CastleCMS)
    • Missing installers:
      • Windows (Kyle Arthurs working on this)
      • Try Plone on Heroku (Kim)
      • Simple Plone buildout (Kim)
  • Admin and Infrastructure (Paul)
    • Team needs help
    • One potential candidate still needs beatin...encouragement
  • Communication/Marketing (Paul, Kim)
    • EuroPython (Paul leading, need a demo) (Timo volunteering)
    • Pycon (Sally Kleinfeldt leading the charge, Paul & Kim assisting)

    • Board is in regular contact with Manabu and Retsu, work is being done on sponsorship levels and conference ticket levels.

    • 5.2 on Python 3, early 2019
    • Nov. 2018 Zope 4 release on Python 3
    • Plone 6 Pastanaga UI as default on Python 3 but still supporting Python 2 w/o Archetypes (but possibly installable if on Python 2)
