New Business

  • Plone Conference Discussion
    • Conference can be hosted in November based on the current information
    • Physical constraints such as distance between people, max occupancy may play a part
    • Hotels, other accommodations are good for November
    • Website will go live in June
    • Attendance of 200 - 300 people is manageable if e.g. masks are required
    • Other countries are unknown variables, continental Europe is probably ok, USA, Brazil maybe not
    • Ensure good internet for remote participation, there has been some effort on this
    • Contingency plans if we have lower than expected attendance?
    • Perhaps we would need to modify food - no buffets, single servings, no sharing
    • We are all in agreement that the conference is a go!
    • Marketing team will help with communications for organizing speakers, etc
    • Live stream all the talks - conference organizers will look into platforms to stream, 6FU will lend expertise, conf organizers can test venue for bandwidth etc
