Here is an update to everyone interested in Plone Conference 2025, held in Jyväskylä, Finland on October 13-19, 2025. https://2025.ploneconf.org/
We have had positive curiosity towards the conference so far, and are looking towards an exciting event. Additionally, the revival of PyCon Finland is seemingly addressing Finnish Pythonistas, so be prepared to mingle with new people especially on Friday 17 October 
Call for Papers
We have received a bunch of talks already, and are currently reviewing the first batch. We will use anonumous review process, focusing on the content of the abstract description. There are many Python and AI related talks submitted, but we are definitely looking for more during July.
We encourage first time speakers and diversity of talks, and appreciate recurring themes from previous conferences. If you have an interesting, Plone-related topic, please do not hesitate to submit the idea!
Keynotes
We will have 3-4 keynotes, all of which are already confirmed.
First one will be the traditional State of Plone by Timo, Maurits and Victor, taking a look at the current Plone 6.2 and upcoming Plone 7
Another one is "Muuttolintujen Kevät - Automatic Bird Sound Classifier" by Patrik Lauha.
With a free mobile app citizens have collected 37 million bird observations. The recordings are analyzed with an AI identification model, more specifically a convolutional neural network (CNN). The CNN model has been trained in Python with Tensorflow to identify the vocalizations of all 263 Finnish bird species.
The last keynotes will be revealed in August, stay tuned!

Getting to Jyväskylä is fairly easy with good flight, train and bus connections.
