The Plone Conference is nearly upon us. If you haven't yet bought your ticket, now is the time to do so!
The conference will take place at the end of this month, in Bristol. There is an exciting schedule of talks which has just been published on the Plone Conference website (http://2014.ploneconf.org/talks). There will be 3 parallel rooms of scheduled talks over two days with a total of 42 talks including development talks, case studies and community talks. The third day will be an Open Space day with sessions proposed by attendees in 'unconference' style. The perfect opportunity for large group discussions, or expanding on topics from the previous two days.
There will be a keynote from Eric Steele, Plone Release Manager, all about the upcoming release of Plone 5. Our guest keynote is Michael Johnson founder of Pocketspacecraft. Michael is a physicist on a mission to kick start the personal space age by giving everyone the opportunity to own their own spacecraft. In this keynote Michael will show how you can be part of this amazing revolution and send your personal spacecraft to explore the solar system for the price of a video game.
As well as training and an exciting line up of talks, the conference party has also been organised in a newly renovated micro-brewery 10 minutes walking distance from the conference venue. There will be a large selection of locally brewed ales and larger on offer as well as delicious home cooked food, and if that isn't enough there will also be a local Jazz band offering an evening of entertainment exclusively for conference attendees.
The success of the conference relies heavily on the support from the community in the form of sponsorship and we would like to thank all of those that have generously sponsored the conference so far. There are are still sponsorship opportunities available, to find out more please visit http://2014.ploneconf.org/sponsorship.
