A pip-installable Plone is a topic since some years and the discussion lately popped up again here on this list. Installation is one issue. The more interesting and most interesting part part is how to configure a site, how to configure a cluster etc in this context..all the aspects that are more or less - like it or not - covered by buildout and the zope2instance recipe..How would we autoconfigure a Plone setup with a pip-installable Plone? A replacement of zope2instance with all the whistles and bells would be needed. What's the vision here?
