Here is the text of the invitation:
Dear OSI Community,
Advancing the Careers of Technical Women (ACT-W) is hosting
two action-packed events where talented women and individuals
can build skills, grow their community, and accelerate their
career path!
ACT-W has invited the OSI to participate and we're looking
for local open source leaders, experts, advocates to help
spread the word about open source software and communities,
and how they help advance careers for women in technology.
The conference includes speaking sessions, hands-on workshops,
one-on-one coaching sessions, career fairs, and much more.
If you're passionate about promoting open source to advance
technology and the communities that enable it, and currently
living in/near Seattle or Chicago (or know someone who is),
we'd like to invite you to represent the OSI during the
conference. You can learn more about the conferences at,
http://seattle.act-w.org/ (Seattle) and http://chicago.act-w.org/
(Chicago).
As part of the event, you’ll staff the OSI booth to help
enterprising developers, folks launching start-ups, and
others looking for enter tech careers learn about open
source software, development opportunities, and how working
in and with the open source community can build professional
networks and advance careers.
Thank you for your support,
Patrick
