Hi folks,
well here we are, fresh from a good meetup in Oxford.
I have been offered a venue in central London for dates on or around Wednesday 17th September. Does this clash with anything Ploneish, or anything else that would mean loads of people couldn't make it?
Who would prefer the times we had in Oxford, or would people prefer some (or all) presentations in the evening (if possible)?
Now is the time to express opinions before we firm things up!
Hi folks,
My September is looking too busy to make this happen with the current level of interest, I say that we go for November & plug it well at the Plone Conference to make sure we get a great attendance.
Daniel
Ps Early Bird booking for the Plone Conference is only until 7th September 2014 & this is already extended deadline http://2014.ploneconf.org/tickets
So when should we meet at the ploneconf? I am not attending the training so Monday is a I assume most people will arrive at Wednesday and I have not yet seen the official schedule but I assume the party will be on Friday, so Wednesday or Thursday will be good
I'm reliably informed that the party is Thursday. So it's Wednesday or Friday I would say....
and probably Wednesday in case people are leaving on Friday.
Any UK Ploners up for a meal out after the first day of the Plone Conference tomorrow evening?
Say at "Racks Bar & Kitchen" 7:45pm in Clifton tomorrow (Wednesday), where you can get 2 for 1 on Pies ....if you really like pies enough to have 2 or some other decent looking grub. Say yes before 8pm today (or before numbers get too high) & I will book you a place at the table.
The aim is to get UK Plone folk together, but I don't want to be exclusive either if people from other parts of the planet want to sneak in. However if numbers get unmanagable I will only book a table for as many as the restaurant is happy to take (I guess 20), to avoid a major headache for me/them.
So let me know quickly - first come first serve.
Anyone else who'd like to add stuff there, please let me know and I'll add you.
Then you'll also be able to add editors, so it should be possible to
cascade access pretty effectively.
Actually I'd love to do the pie share thing if that's possible, in which
case cancel the Wiltshire Ham & I'll have the same kind of pie. If not no
worries.
