Items from last meeting

  • Workflow on plone.org:
    Progress was made for the Marketing team to have eyes on pending review and private items on plone.org. Aim is to action review items and private items, incl decluttering of the site in prep for the content move to the new plone.org site. On the new plone.org site - use content rules for this. (Rikupekka, Astrid, Kim)

  • Draft posts on Plone's recent Silver Seal of Transparency award: Guido & Armin to combine and improve, and submit for review.

  • Automate lifting Plone to 2026 (Armin). Significant progress made to automate this process going forward. In the meantime, do it manually.

  • WPD 2026 (April 16th). Page created World Plone Day 2026. Next step: logo (Armin, Guido & Rikupekka). Video submissions already welcomed - can be pre-recorded or live streamed. Live events are booked, more are welcomed.

  • CSS issues around thumbnail images - fixed!

  • Recap Stb Sprint: Quick runthrough and feedback.

  1. New plone.org homepage inviting contribution. Action: provide draft in 2 weeks (Kim and Alex P)
  2. T-shirts for Sprints (Astrid) - Action: meeting re tshirts: Astrid & Armin. Contact Sprint organizers, look at budget.
  3. Showcase Plone - what brands are using Plone already. Action: tbc

Thanks for sharing the Marketing Team meeting notes. It's great to see how much work the team has done and has planned.

This is so important. I've been following the Sovereign Tech Agency posts regarding their advocacy work and call for others to lift their voices to the EU.

Any country that is not the US is at risk of privacy violation or worse, having their data held hostage by a big tech corporation or no longer have access to credit cards.

I note that you plan to attend FOSDEM 2027, but have linked to 2026? I might join y'all, if the timing is right.
