Items from last meeting
T-shirts: going well. Future sprint t-shirts as planned.
plone.org whole site update: Work continues across several areas of the new website. Content grooming efforts have migrated the "They Use Plone" material into the new platform, with additional progress dependent on the new case study content type. Discussions also continued around contributor recognition, including plans for a dedicated contributor page and improved homepage messaging to recognize different forms of contribution. The team is preparing the site structure to support sponsor and contributor logos.
Content migration tooling: The team reviewed migration workflows and noted that copy/paste operations can unintentionally convert internal links into external links. Continued work is planned around using plone.exportimport to support safer content migration processes.
next.plone.org blockers: A forms-related issue affecting Alpha.30 remains a blocker for progress on next.plone.org. Additional discussions took place regarding content types needed for the new site.
Plone Conference 2026: Preparations continue. A landing page for German-language CfP submissions and the official CFP launch. Technical issues affecting forms and Stripe integration are still being addressed. Discussions around the Business Track continue, with Digital Sovereignty identified as key theme.
Sovereign Tech Fund application: Good progress was reported during Pole Position Sprint activities. While there are some concerns about long-term administrative workload, the current focus remains on completing and submitting the application. Additional Zope-related activities identified during the Beethoven Sprint are to be incorporated.
Experimental review process: Work continues on testing the non-PLIP proposal workflow, with implementation updates still pending.
Plone Labs: Permission has been given to add a page and a link to kitconcept Office Hours videos in the plone labs space on plone.org.
Nick: A recent video promoting Nick was released through social media, and a related news article has been published on plone.org. A link to the video was added. The team also discussed collecting a success story from Mack demonstrating Nick in production use.
Community recognition programme: No new marketing actions were identified at this stage. The team is awaiting further updates and summaries from ongoing discussions. But there was some discussion about how to adjust the layout and wording on plone.org to accommodate it once it is approved and implemented by those currently working on it (Mikel, Erico, Timo, Board).
Jon Cherry sessions: Planning continues around community interviews and manifesto-related activities. The team discussed creating a standard interview format built around questions such as "What is Plone?" and "What does Plone mean to you?" Recording and transcription via Streamyard to support content production would be good.
