I hope you’re doing well! I’m interested in applying for the Python GraphQL project for Google Summer of Code 2025, and I would like to know more details to ensure I understand the requirements and expectations for this project.
Could someone please let me know who the mentors for the Python GraphQL project are? I’d love to get in touch with them for further guidance and clarification.
Additionally, I have a few questions regarding the project:
- What are the key prerequisites or skills I should focus on before applying (e.g., Python, Plone, GraphQL, ZODB)?
- What resources or documentation would you recommend to help me understand how Plone's current REST API works, and how to transition that to a GraphQL API?
- Are there any particular challenges or things to consider when working on integrating GraphQL with Plone’s hierarchical content structure?
- Is there any specific setup or development environment I need to prepare for the project?
I’ve already started learning about Plone and GraphQL, but I want to make sure I’m fully prepared before applying for GSoC.
