How to set a default display view

Hi,
Do you think it is possible to create a default display view? I can change it manually (I prefer the tabular view) but didn't succedded to apply this view by default on all subfolders, I have to do it manually on each subfolder. In my use on Plone I only have folder and files, so the tabular view will suit well
I didn't find the possibility in the documentation so I'm rather pessimistic.

You can set the default view via ZMI in the portal_types tool
your site -> portal_types -> Folder -> set the default view method to tabular_view
