How to rebuild plone.app.locales POT files of Plone core?

How is the process if one (like me) want to add missing translation strings to one or all of the Plone core translation templates (*.pot) files? I suppose this is documented somewhere?

Is there some nice script around i18ndude working on a buildout.coredev?
