Has anyone installed Plone on Windows or Linux? If you're using Windows, how did you set it up? I checked the documentation for installing Plone with Cookie
Plone, but it's quite spread out, and I couldn't get the installation to work. I'm a bit confused—can someone share a simpler way to install it?
Which documentation? There is no "Cookiecutter Plone". Please provide the URL.
I am not able to paste the URL but i followed the installation steps in the Plone documentation V6 , under Admin guide section.
If this is not right way, then can you please help me out in installing Plone.
Try following this documentation, it's quite nicely documented here on installing plone with cookiecutter Install Plone with Cookieplone — Plone Documentation v6.
And I suggest you to try it on a linux machine.

well, I found installation of Plone is basically looking whole project codebase. But as we have specific Project Ideas listed, so we first need to select Repository based on our working project ideas that may help to isolate our work and prevent confusion and mesh. For each sub repo of Plone , Plone member have well documented the process of installation. Correct me if i am wrong..
