I am Nabin Purbey and I am a versatile full-stack developer skilled in JavaScript, React.js, Python, and DevOps, with hands on experience in building scalable web and mobile apps. Passionate about problem-solving, I thrive on creating impactful digital solutions.
I recently came across Plone and its REST API, and I’m really excited about the opportunity to contribute to it as part of Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2025. Since I have a strong background in Python, RESTful APIs, and backend development, I’d love to help improve the Plone REST API by working on performance optimizations, adding new features, and enhancing authentication mechanisms.
To get started, I have already begun exploring the Plone REST API documentation form plone.api/docs/api at main · plone/plone.api . I plan to go through existing API endpoints, identify areas for improvement, and contribute small fixes to get familiar with the codebase.
I would appreciate any guidance from the community on:
The key areas of improvement in the Plone REST API.
Any beginner-friendly issues I can work on to get started.
Suggestions on how I can make the most impact with my GSoC proposal.
Looking forward to collaborating with the amazing Plone community!

Hello Plone team,
My name is Charchit Gangwar, a third-year BTech student excited about the GSoC 2025 project Workflow Manager for Volto. During my recent internship, I built an automation hub using React, Python, and various DevOps tools. I created user-friendly interfaces, connected services using OAuth2 and webhooks, and set up CI/CD pipelines. I also automated tasks like database schema generation and data extraction. This hands-on experience with workflow automation and process design has prepared me well for this project.
I have a couple of questions:
What are the key workflow challenges this project aims to address within the Volto environment?
As a beginner in developing Plone add-ons, which resources or documentation would you suggest to build a solid foundation and avoid common pitfalls?

Hello Everyone, Myself Manish Tiwari, I'm here to contribute to this organization by working on Installation and documentation project Idea as I have experience with working with documentation and it will be a great opportunity to help this great organization in this way as it will help other developers and users to setup and install easily by reading articles in a well arranged and written with all the possible cases. Please guide me where to start and from where I can start, or any kind of guidance means a lot for me. I will be very grateful to you.
I came across the "Social Media Sharing" project idea in Plone’s GSoC idea list, and I’m really excited about the opportunity to contribute! As a college student and first-time GSoC applicant, I’m eager to apply my Next.js, TypeScript, and full-stack development skills to Plone while learning from the community.
This project involves developing a Plone add-on that enables users to seamlessly share content (articles, blogs, etc.) to platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook, similar to how content sharing works in other CMS platforms.
I’d love to hear your insights: Are there any existing implementations or prior discussions on this? What key challenges should I be aware of when implementing this? Would anyone be open to guiding me or discussing potential approaches?
Getting feedback early will help refine the idea and ensure alignment with Plone’s ecosystem. If you have any thoughts, suggestions, or resources, I’d love to connect!
Looking forward to collaborating with the Plone community.
