GSoC 2018 Ideas: Porting (Media) Tiles from castle.cms

This is one post in a series to begin focused discussion about ideas that came out of our 2018 GSoC Brainstorm.

Please use this post as a place to begin to discuss this idea more in depth.

This idea was proposed by @espenmn. There is no mentor suggested at this point. If anyone is interested, or has ideas for the perfect candidate, please speak up.

The description:

' The (Mosaic) media tiles 'feels like a standard' in how those things should be added to a page ', it refers to the behavior of tiles developed for the Castle CMS project, and the point is to port those tiles to a package compatible with core Plone.

Okay folks, put a shine on this one!

More details would be useful. Are there screenshots, videos, demos that compare the differences?

Great question, @stevepiercy. I think perhaps @espenmn, @tkimnguyen or @vangheem might be able to answer (and fill in a bit more detail)

I can get you a list of the tiles we have in Castle, but the best way for you to see how they work will be to try them out. Enterprising folks can get CastleCMS installed as per instructions in the https://github.com/castlecms/castle.cms repo as well as in the https://github.com/collective/castle.buildout for *nix platforms. At some point Real Soon Now we (Wildcard Corp.) will have a demo site you can try...

I have a CastleCMS server set up. Anyone who wants a demo site of their own, please send me a message.
