Has anyone done a eu cookie compliance feature for a client project?
How do we want to handle it within Plone (maybe a PLIP later)?

  • A "sticky" modal or similar to display a message and OK button
  • Config panel for disclaimer text, for example JSON format to be able to fill in short text and link to a document containing a long description in various languages
  • other steps necessary to comply with existing laws?

Thoughts?

We have used this one: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/collective.cookiecuttr it provides integration with Plone's analytics viewlet, and also a configuration option to allow the "implied consent"
