Collective Timelines

Good day,

I do not have much experience in Plone and I am trying to use collective.timelines.
Is there perhaps anyone using collective.timelines and got it to work on dexterity content types?
We have created our own custom content types but I could not even get it to work on normal content types like folders and news items. Does this product work out of the box or is there some configurations one needs to do?
The dexterity behavior do show on the content types as per documentation on the github of the product and I tried the customisation examples.
When I go to localhost/my-content-type/timeline-view all I get is the ajax-spinner with text LOADING TIMELINE.

Sorry for the noise, I have created a new instance and it does work when I add a new folder and an event. I will have to work on my instance and see why its not working.
