Seriously, running such a setup in 2025 is unprofessional, dangerous and against all best-practices. All components are unmaintained and long beyond their EOL....why this nonsense?
Plone 4 users need to take extra care with the security of their setup. They can start by using Python 2.7 from ActiveState. Python 2.7 in Debian Buster is outdated. You have to ./configure
and ./install
it yourself via the command line. There is no package manager for this. Furthermore, there are security concerns with the old Zope and Plone 4 itself. I still use Plone 4.3.20 and want to use it forever because it is the best, but security is a real issue.
It might be fine depending on the situation. I can imagine: a small set of trusted users, behind a firewall for completely internal audiences.
