A better 'navigation viewlet'?

Some time ago, I think I read about someone working on a better 'dropdown viewlet'.

Does anyone know about this project (I could not find it here, nor on GitHub/collective )

numbers looks nice; just one comment: why don't you make a soft dependency on plone.tiles?

https://github.com/collective/collective.navigation is more of a proof of concept, plan is to integrate it into Plone itself https://github.com/plone/Products.CMFPlone/issues/2516

does it have a sitemap/showall mode so it can be used with for dropdown usecases too? Does it replace both the global nav and the side nav?

Sorry should have read the PLIP first - https://github.com/plone/Products.CMFPlone/issues/2516. That answers my questions. The plugin maybe needs more detail about that?
