What are you using to upgrade your Plone sites?

Hello everyone,

I’ve been using some of the excellent add-ons originally developed by FWT.
I am a heavy user of ftw.upgrade: I find it very useful to upgrade my sites with one command.

Now, I noticed that ftw.upgrade fails on Plone 6.1.

I already have a preliminary patch:

Unluckily, I was not able to run the tests on Python 3.11 because ftw.testbrowser also needs to be upgrade to support Python 3.11.

Before starting to maintain all these packages or to bother FTW for help, I would like to know if you are using something else to upgrade your sites from the command line? What is it?

Note: I tried collective.upgrade but it:

  1. has fewer features than ftw.upgrade
  2. it needs maintenance as well

We have this documentation Plone Upgrade Guide — Plone Documentation v6.

Thanks, @stevepiercy!
Anyway, I do not see the "upgrade via CLI" covered.

That's one of the reasons why I created this thread in the first place.
I would like to know what people are usually doing.

For me, it is a very important thing because it allows me to have fully automated upgrades.

Perhaps this training? It might not be exactly what you seek, but there may be useful concepts to cherry-pick.
