  • Volto current state of affairs:
    • Volto 6.3.0 is out: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@plone/volto/v/6.3.0
    • Lots of PRs and issues every day
    • We do very frequent releases
    • Hard to keep up with all the review work
    • We have to broaden the Volto core team in to keep up with the high pace of contributions
  • Volto Core Developers Team
    • We decided to establish a Volto core developers team
    • Team helps to review PRs and make important strategic decisions
  • New Volto sites: https://github.com/plone/volto#volto-in-production
  • REST API 7.x (resolveUID)
    • 7.x still in alpha
    • We need someone to run this in prod before we are able to do a final release
    • kitconcept is using this branch in 2-3 larger projects which are currently in the pre-production phase. Though, those won’t go online in the next 6 months.
  • Types controlpanel
    • PR is ready
    • Alin and X gave an extensive demo
    • Impressive work
    • Both PRs need review
      • p.restapi: enable writeable blocks behavior
  • Create-volto-app as yeoman generator:

  • Communication Channel
    • no offical Volto communication channel, lots of options, lots of confusion
    • lots of options, matrix looks very promising
    • we want to make a decision together with the Plone community and stick with their decision
