Successful Google Summer of Code 2016 Projects

Google Summer of Code ("GSoC") is an annual international program open to university students in which Google awards stipends to all students who successfully complete a free and open-source software project.

The Plone community is proud to announce three successful projects were completed for GSoC 2016.

  • ZhenSheng (Jensen) Jiang @JensenJiang worked on ftw.book, a Plone add-on that creates printable book PDFs using LaTeX processing. Jensen was mentored by Bernd Kulawik.

  • Prakhar Joshi @pjoshi_ worked on improvements to collective.easyform, a Plone add-on that lets users easily create web forms and is the successor to the venerated PloneFormGen add-on, whose original author, Steve McMahon @smcmahon, mentored Prakhar.

  • Vikas Parashar @vicodin created five new, beautiful Plone themes that follow current web design trends. He was mentored by Nejc Zupan.
