Plone welcomes FOUR students for the 2016 Google Summer of Code

For 2016, the Plone Foundation has been granted four Google Summer of Code student project slots.

After careful selection of the many project proposals presented, we are pleased to announce that the following four students will be working on various aspects of Plone:

  • ZhenSheng (Jensen) Jiang, from China
  • Vikas Parashar, from India
  • Berta Capdevila Cano, from Catalunya/Spain
  • Prakhar Joshi, from India @pjoshi_

Their projects address a wide range of topics: theming, scientific publishing, online forms, and a cutting-edge JavaScript front end for Plone. You can find in-depth descriptions of their projects here.

To our new students: welcome to the Plone community!

To our project mentors: thank you for stepping up and sharing your knowledge!

We hope your summer will be both fun and productive, and we look forward to your contributions – congratulations!
