Mosaic editor - How to setup a layout that does not allow multiple columns?

Hi all

I need to setup a layout for a specific content type of mine that does not allow any tiles to be stacked side-by-side. I can't seem to find out by looking at the code where this could be configured. Could anyone please point me into the right direction.
