I cannot find anyplace at plone.org on how to remove my email address from the community. Can anyone point me to the right place to do that?

Do you mean how do you purge your account from https://community.plone.org/ ?
If you mean from https://plone.org/, you’ll need to provide a little more information, such as which URLs where it exists.
It has been a few years since I tried using plone and I don’t remember what URLs were used.
What I am looking to do is simple to get removed from the mailing list. How can I do that? I don’t see that option anyway at the website.
You should have an unsubscribe link in the mails you receive.
I also did not find a way to remove myslef from the site, but you have, in your account settings, options to not receive emails and to make your profile invisible.
Are you referring to the Plone announcements mailing list?
