Collection Filter Portlet with 'Two filters'

I just tried collective.portlet.collectionfilter (which is great).

I would like to somehow 'have two tag groups'.

The first would be something like 'S1', 'S2', 'N1', 'N2' (first class mathematics, second class mathematics' etc.

The second tag would be something like 'functions', 'statistics', 'models' etc.

Any suggestions on how to do this ?

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to achieve this ( what is best: try to make a new view or try to modify collection filter ? )
