Active Volto core contributor seeking opportunities to support the ecosystem through sponsored development, grants, or community fellowships.

Hi everyone,

I’m Pratyush (@pratyush07-hub). I’ve been contributing to Plone/Volto core and documentation for a while. My recent work includes:

  • Volto Core: Defensive checks for languages/locales (#7955, #8072, #7676) and fixing flattenScales TypeErrors (#7630, #7658).

  • Volto UI: Fixes for choice field dropdowns (#7843) and toolbar type crashes (#7759).

  • Documentation: Glossary updates and MyST refactoring (#7616).

I am very passionate about the Plone ecosystem and would like to dedicate more significant, structured time to core development. I wanted to ask the community:

  1. Are there any NLnet or Sovereign Tech Fund grant applications currently in progress for Volto where additional hands are needed?

  2. Is there any plan for Polar.sh funding for specific high-priority Volto issues?

  3. Are there any Plone agencies currently looking for developers with core Volto experience?

I am eager to take on more responsibility, perhaps a specific PLIP or a maintenance role, if there are funded opportunities or fellowships available to support the work.
